Business investment opportunity in Romania. Fish farm owner is looking for financial and / or strategic partner to complete a European Union - funded project. The amount required for investment is of 2,000,000 Euro, and the total value of the project is of 4.96 million Euro.

The grant project started in 2010, being in an advanced stage of implementation.


The completion of the project is expected in July 2012.


The project aims to modernize the fish farm in order to produce carp intensively, European catfish, pike and sturgeon (small H and H2 old) and the traditional system of carp (H1, H3 and H4).


The first stage of settlement of consultancy and design was already crossed. Nowadays, the beneficiary is at the second request for reimbursement, which is a significant amount, until now 80% of the project construction works were held : incubation station - full feed store - full administrative space - full planning firm: clogging, culvert, dam - full, feed and specific arrangements are still under construction. The work conducted to date is 10.7 million lei (2.46 mil Euro), the beneficiary submitted the second request for reimbursement for 59% of the project as it is non-refundable amount of financial aid.

The project has also approved a loan of 3 million Euro in the stage of signing the credit contract.


The project has all the necessary permits and agreements.

The fish farm consists of 310 ha of 17 water formed small ponds for pre-development totaling 16.34 ha and 6 other large ponds. The investment will be recovered in 5 years.


The business development opportunities are numerous, and consist in the possibility of future projects around the farm as it follows: a fish processing plant, developing diversified feed production facilities, construction of a photovoltaic park, building a fishing inn with camping for sportive fishing. Any of these projects can be developed with EU funding - grants between 40-70% depending on the project, and will lead to maximizing farm profit. The new partner will benefit from all the new improvements made to the fishing farm.
